The OSCA board through a grant from our friends at Telus is pleased to be able to offer support for the new fish passage which will bring the ocean salmon back to Okanagan Lake in real numbers after decades of human obfuscation of their natural migration and spawning habits. The passage work is a collaborative effort of the city, the region, the province and the Okanagan Nation Alliance. It was led by Zoe Eyjolfson and Lee McFadgen.

OSCA was able to make a financial contribution to the restoration of natural plants to the areas around the channel and the board chipped in with some labour contributions as well. We are proud to have been a part of this effort. It was a great project and now completed, will let the salmon come back to their rightful place in our valley.
