Meadowlark Nature Festival Welcomes Dan Riendeau as New Program Coordinator

Penticton, BC — [Thurs, Sept 25, 2025] — The Meadowlark Nature Festival is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Riendeau as its new Program Coordinator. Dan brings over 20 years of experience in media, communications, volunteer coordination, and event management, along with a strong passion for community building and conservation.

In his new role, Dan will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of Meadowlark’s diverse lineup of events, from guided nature tours and outdoor adventures to cultural and educational workshops. He will work closely with volunteers, presenters, and community partners to ensure the festival continues its legacy of fostering meaningful connections with the natural world.

About Dan Riendeau
Dan has built a dynamic career as a communications professional, having worked as a host and producer with CBC and Corus Radio before founding CharmPod, a podcast production company supporting creators and corporate clients. More recently, he has successfully managed volunteer coordination and fundraising campaigns in Penticton.

His expertise in storytelling, content creation, and community engagement will help the festival expand its reach and deliver fantastic programming for the 2026 edition of the festival. Dan’s ability to bring people together through both media and grassroots organizing makes him uniquely positioned to strengthen Meadowlark’s role as a cornerstone of environmental education and cultural celebration in the Okanagan-Similkameen.

About Meadowlark Nature Festival
Presented by the Okanagan Similkameen Conservation Alliance, the Meadowlark Nature Festival (MNF) is an annual celebration of the region’s unique ecosystems, species, and cultural heritage. Each year, the festival presents more than 60 guided events, including hikes, birdwatching, paddling, art and photography workshops, and interactive talks led by experts and knowledge keepers.
The 2026 festival will take place May 14–18, inviting participants of all ages to explore, learn, and connect with the extraordinary landscapes of the Okanagan-Similkameen.
